Harvey C. Danner, Jr. - President

Since 1989, the President and Founder of Salem Environmental, Harvey C. Danner, Jr., has provided non-geologic petroleum remedial and project management services to Commercial & Residential Realtors®, manufacturers, petroleum marketers, governmental entities, homeowners, property management companies, and environmental consultants on well over 6,500 sites. His experience covers UST excavations, hazwaste handling & disposal, Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), commercial real estate Transaction Screen Processes, CFI TankFoamTM Closure of USTs, groundwater monitor well installation, groundwater & soil sampling, remediation system installations, and compliance consultation. Salem Environmental is out of the USA’s largest contractors for the in-place closure of residential USTs, having abandoned over 5,000 tanks with innerFoamFill throughout the Carolinas, Virginia, Tennessee, and Georgia.

Starting in 2001, Salem has performed fungal (mold) IAQ/surface assessments & remediation, structural drying & restoration, moisture control & abatement, and MRSA testing/remediation, as well as VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) & EMF RF surveys testing, on over 1,000 commercial and residential sites. Mr Danner has extensive experience with infrared camera & moisture investigations and interpretation of IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) results. His specialty is multi-family apartment complexes.

Mr Danner is a 30+ year Associate Member of the N.C. Petroleum Convenience Marketers’ Association and a member since 2005 of the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA). He completes over 20 CEUs annually to meet IAQA’s membership requirements and attends additional seminars to keep abreast of changes in Phase I ESAs, as well as environmental regulations and practices. 


From 1976 to 1989, Mr Danner was Office Manager & subsequently GM/VP of a petroleum marketer in the North Carolina Piedmont. Mr Danner has served as a Jaycee Club Treasurer and Rotary Club President. He is a 1974 graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in Banking & Finance. He received his MBA from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa in 1976. During college he worked as an academic tutor in the athletic departments of both colleges.

Anda Olsen - Compliance & Customer Relations

Anda earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana State University with a double major in English and Anthropology and later received an MA in English from ISU. She earned her MBA and JD cum laude from Georgia State University.

She sees direct parallels from her years as a senior compliance officer for a large multinational, publicly-traded financial services company. "It's the attention to detail and maintaining exacting standards."

As a resident of Inman Park in Atlanta, she served on the Neighborhood Association as Secretary when the Historic Neighborhood designation was enacted and subsequently elected President when the neighborhood Security Police Force was established. Anda was also on the board of directors for building the Cooperative Community Swimming Pool and establishing the 501(c) (3) Friends of Inman Park. After retiring from the corporate world, she taught a Constitutional Law class for advanced 8th Graders in the Pickens County (GA) Youth Enrichment Program.
